Ibrahim Pasha and Roksolana in the struggle for power

I would like to emphasize once again the bright and strong historical character of the epoch of reign of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent, such as Roksolana - the wife of the Sultan and the Grand Vizier Ibrahim Pasha. Between these two personalities quite a lot in common. They had come from a rather poor family and had nothing to do with Turkey until a certain period. As a young Alexander was taken prisoner, and very young Ibrahim. Alexander, being a prisoner of the Sultan, quickly rose, thanks to his intellect and extraordinary charms, with the help of which she was fascinated by the Sultan. In the end, she won the title of the wife of a Sultan and had more power. Ibrahim as being the son of the usual Greek fisherman, when captured, quickly made friends with a young Suleiman and years later became Grand Vizier of the Ottoman state and the second person after the Sultan.

Why is this dislike was the Hjurrem and Ibrahim? The answer is obvious. As Ibrahim, and Hjurrem had a great influence on the Sultan and were the most close people of the ruler. The struggle for power was understandable. Each of them tried to come as close as possible to the Sultan and to gain unlimited power. The long struggle between the Grand Vizier and the beloved wife of the Sultan turned all the same victory Hjurrem, which was able to win a major victory. It is not for nothing is of the opinion that it is thanks to the machinations of the Roksolana Ibrahim, in the end, had been strangled. Although this issue there are many opinions. But, then, that between the fortunes of the Hjurrem and Ibrahim have a lot in common and both of them were strong personalities, doubt is clearly not necessary.
