Princess Hatitdje Sultan came to light in 1496 and was the daughter of Sultan Selim I from his beloved wife Aisha Hafsa Sultan. Also the Hatitdje had two sisters Bahan and Fatima, and brother Suleyman, who later became the great Sultan of the Ottoman Empire. After the throne was occupied by her brother Suleiman, the Princess was married off for the Grand Vizier of the Ottoman Empire Ibrahim Pasha, after the execution of which Hatitdje lived only a few years.
Over the years of joint life of Ibrahim and Hatitdje, they could have a lot of children, but the tragic circumstances for a long time conspired against them. During the first pregnancy with a Princess of a miscarriage, as she fell down the stairs during the attack, the rebels of the Janissaries in the Palace of Ibrahim Pasha.
After the second pregnancy in Hatitdje was born a son, Sultan Suleiman called his Mehmet. But after a little less than a year the boy died. At the time of feeding the Princess fell asleep and he gasped.
After the third successful pregnancy in a pair of twins were born a girl Huridjan and the boy Osman.
Unfortunately, the band of happy events did not last long, and in 1536, Sultan Suleiman has announced its intentions to execute Ibrahim, that broke the heart of the Princess. May be that is why Hatitdje survived her husband by only two years, unable to survive the death of a loved her man.
